This Easter we continue our Contact gatherings in the wild, this time in the Istrian seaside.
The intention of this event is to create a space for a variety of different focused based Contact Improvisation jams and spend 4 days dancing and sharing time-space together.
The event is open to people with experience in Contact Improvisation and jam. To be able to give and receive weight, to relate with the ground and gravity, and listen the point of contact during the dynamic are some of the parameters to (auto) evaluate the self experience in this dance.

PROGRAM
Each focused Jam will start with a opening circle and finished with the closing circle where we can share our insights and experiences.
Musicians are welcome, bring your instrument if you play music!
WHEN
30 March - 2 April 2018
We start with an arriving jam on Friday evening, the opening circle will be on Sunday 30 March at 10.30am, and finish Monday 2 April - 5pm.
LOCATION
Location of the event is an naturally build place called "Theater in the Woods" . Dance space is heated and will also be the place where we will sleep. By participating in this kind of event, you are also supporting the community that is creating this place and building the environment.
The place is in the nature, close to Rovigno and 15 min from the sea by car.
There is also a big pizza oven, the owners of the place grow organic wheat and make their own biologic wholemeal flour. We can have a pizza party on Saturday night!

FOOD
The breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the timetable will be provided by the organization team.
The food will be vegetarian.

SLEEP
We will sleep in the dance space. Bring your own sleeping bag and mattress.

SOME MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE JAMS
- Focus Jam -
To keep awake a sense of common group research we will chose our focus/intention beteen a given set of focus, it will be possible to change the focus during the dance.
In the end we will share in the circle our personal experiences.
- Blind Jam -
Everybody will wear a blindfold, we will invite you to keep it at least for 30 min, and then is going to be free to dance with or without.
The jam will be preceded by a warm up to ease the process.
- Personal Focus Jam / Dance your question -
What are your questions of today? What is your interest at the moment in Contact Improvisation?
What are you dealing with in your practice? Maybe something happens all the time in the jam and we want to drive in it.
We invite you to come with your question or intention, to share it and to dance it and share afterwards.
If you don’t have a question your question can be: what is my question?
- Partner focus research -
A format in which we explore similar topics we have in common with one partner and dancing trough them.
MUSIC
During the event there will be spontaneous music improvisations by Janž.
